Q1: My child needs school supplies. Who is eligible to receive the supplies? Where and how do I get them? Contact your

Contact your child's school counselor, principal or assistant principal about obtaining supplies. If your child will be in Pre-Kindergarten - Grade 5 and is eligible for the federally-funded school lunch program they will be able to receive these free school supplies. For the Children provides basic school supplies to elementary schools in the following school districts in Central Texas: Austin, Del Valle, Dripping Springs, Georgetown, Hays Consolidated, Hutto, Leander, Pflugerville, Manor, and Round Rock Independent School Districts.

Q2: My child is eligible for the federally-funded school lunch program but is not in one of the grades described above. Are they still able to receive free school supplies? 

No, however you may contact your child's school counselor, principal or assistant principal to determine if there are supplies available from another resource.

Q3: When will the school supplies be available? 

The school supplies will be available by the first day of school.

Q4: My child does not attend a school in one of the districts listed above or is in private school. Where can I obtain supplies for my child? 

Contact your child's school counselor, principal or assistant principal to determine if there are supplies available from another resource.

Q5: I went to my child's school for school supplies, but they were out. Can I get supplies somewhere else? 

Unfortunately, For the Children only has a limited amount of school supplies available. Once the supplies are distributed, there are not any more available from For the Children until the next school year. Contact your child's school counselor, principal or assistant principal to determine if there are supplies available from another resource.
